Delivery drivers protest amid calls for improved working conditions in Sao Paulo (Sao Paulo state) on July 14; avoid all protests

Delivery drivers gathered in Sao Paulo's Vila Olímpia from 09:00 (local time) on Tuesday, July 14, to call for better working conditions. Throughout the day, protesters also gathered outside the Sao Paulo's City Council and later went to demonstrate outside the Regional Labor Court (TRT). The military police are currently escorting protesters and demonstrations have remained largely peaceful as of Tuesday afternoon.

Further protests and associated disruptions are likely in the near term. A heightened security presence is also to be expected.


Individuals in Sao Paulo are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
