Members of the Cameroonian diaspora in Brussels plan to hold a protest against the Cameroonian government on Friday, July 17. The protest is to begin at 13:00 (local time), with demonstrators gathering at the eastern entrance of the Parc du Cinquantenaire, near the Mérode metro station. The protests will be calling for an end to fighting in the northwest and southwest regions of the country, the liberation of political prisoners, and a reform of the electoral system.

A heightened security presence and localized disruption to transportation should be expected near the protest site.
