On Saturday, July 18, the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul in Nantes caught fire, with media reports indicating that the fire is still burning. Emergency services were contacted at 07:44 (local time) and remain at the scene, with more than 60 firefighters attempting to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known.  

Transportation disruptions are likely as emergency services have cordoned off streets in central Nantes.
