Libya's Airports Authority announced on Tuesday, July 21, that Mitiga International Airport (MJI) will reopen in August, following months of maintenance work. Following Khalifa Hafter's 24-month war on Tripoli, MJI had sustained extensive bomb damage.

Individuals traveling via MJI are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate residual delays, and confirm flight reservations.

The security environment in Libya remains complex. Professional security advice and support should be sought prior to travel.
