Bandits abduct at least 14 people following raids in Niger state on July 20

On Monday, July 20, a group of approximately 20 armed men raided two communities in Niger State's Rafi Local Government Area (LGA) and abducted at least 14 people. The incident occurred around 12:00 (local time). Reports indicate that at least eight people were kidnapped in the Magami community and a further six were abducted from the Tungan-Bako community. Valuables and livestock were also stolen during the raids. 


Those in Niger state are advised to monitor developments, remain vigilant, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
