Riverside County Fire Department issued evacuation orders for areas in Cherry Valley (Riverside County; California) on Friday, July 31, due to the active Apple Fire. As of 20:15 (local time), the fire was approximately 700 acres in size and zero percent contained. Evacuation orders are in place for residents in the following places:

An evacuation center has been set-up at Beaumont High School on Cherry Valley Boulevard in Beaumont.

Further spread of the fire is possible in the near term. An emergency response presence and localized transportation disruptions, namely road closures, should be anticipated in the affected areas.
