A labor union protest is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 4, in Rome. The demonstration has been organized by the FILT-CGIL, UILTrasporti, and UGL-TA labor unions that represent former employees of the now liquidated airline, Air Italy. Participants of the protest are set to gather at 10:00 (local time) in front of Piazza Barberini before marching to the Ministry of Labor to protest against delays in the liquidation of the airline. An associated demonstration will also take place at 14:00 in front of the Ministry of Transportation.
A heightened security presence and localized transport disruption are to be expected near the protest sites.
Individuals in Rome are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
