Demonstrators are planning to gather in Stuttgart (Baden-Wurttemberg state) on Saturday, August 8, to denounce coronavirus disease (COVID-19) measures. Reportedly, participants will gather at 12:00 (local time) in Marienplatz and in Unterer Schlossgarten at 15:30. The protests have been called for by the movement Querdenken 711 (Lateral Thinking 711). Previous associated rallies have attracted thousands of attendees.

A heightened security presence and associated disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of any protest site.
