Demonstrators are planning to gather in the capital Khartoum on Friday, August 7, to denounce alleged un-Islamic legal amendments. Reportedly, security forces have closed bridges connecting Khartoum to Omdurman and North Khartoum, and some roads surrounding the Sudan Armed Forces Headquarters in the capital have also been closed, along with other roads in Khartoum, Omdurman, and North Khartoum.

A heightened security presence and associated disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of any protest site.
