A fire broke out at a warehouse in Al-Shajara district in the southern outskirts of Khartoum on Friday, August 14. Reports indicate that the warehouse was an ammunition depot belonging to the Sudanese military. Emergency service teams are responding to the incident. There have been no immediate reports of casualties and the cause of the incident remains unknown.

Unconfirmed media sources indicate that the fire has since been brought under control, however, localized transport disruptions should be anticipated over the coming hours. Power outages are also possible in the immediate vicinity of the incident. 


Those in Khartoum are advised to avoid the vicinity of the incident, monitor developments to the situation, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
