Local sources report as of 1200hrs (local time) on Wednesday, August 26, that violent clashes are ongoing on Abeokuta Road in the Abule Egba area of Lagos. The incident began during a demonstration protesting the alleged killings of two commercial motorcycle riders by officials of the Lagos State Task Force in the U-turn area of the neighborhood. Criminals are reported to be attacking passing vehicles in the area.

Localized disruptions and heightened security are likely in the vicinity of the unrest. Further clashes cannot be ruled out.
