Security forces killed three militants in clashes in Pantha Chowk near Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir territory) on Saturday evening, August 29. The militants fired on security forces during a search operation in the area, which led to the death of a police officer. Police set up a cordon in the area following the outbreak of fighting.
