Protesters gathered in Karachi on Monday, August 31, to denounce the poor state of the city's infrastructure following heavy rain in the city. Reportedly, residents from Defence Housing Authority and Clifton gathered to denounce poor drainage and power outages following prolonged rain. Some protesters from Clifton reportedly tried to enter the Cantonment Board Clifton office before being stopped by police. No injuries were reported amid the demonstrations.

Further demonstrations in Karachi are possible over the near term.
