Unauthorized union protest in San Salvador on September 2; avoid all demonstrations

An unauthorized protest is being held in San Salvador on Wednesday, September 2. The protest has been organized by workers affiliated with the Salvadoran Association of Municipal Workers (ASTRAM) and is being held outside the Judicial Center Isidro Menendez in San Salvador. The demonstration has been called to demand delayed payments from the Soyapango and San Salvador city halls.

Protesters have reportedly erected roadblocks along Boulevard Tutunichapa and there remains a heightened security presence in the area. Localized traffic disruptions should be anticipated.
