Landslides and flooding triggered by heavy monsoon rainfall in the Dhorpatan municipality (Baglung district) have killed at least ten people with 17 missing and more than 20 homes being destroyed as of Thursday, September 3. The Baglung district police office stated that most of the victims were from the village of Bhuji. Police and local residents have begun a search for the missing. Further landslides are likely in the area over the near term.
