Heavy rainfall and associated flooding has killed at least four people and destroyed over 5200 homes in Nigeria's Kano state as of Saturday, September 5. The worst affected areas are Rogo and Danbatta Local Government Areas (LGA), with 200 and 5000 deaths respectively, although flooding has been reported in all 44 LGAs in the state.

Further rainfall is expected over the near term. Disruption to transportation, business, and utilities is likely.
