Police clashed with protesters in Saxony (Leipzig) for the third consecutive night on Saturday, September 5, amid unrest that broke out after police cleared out two squats. Protesters set fire to bins and built barricades in the Connewitz area of the city. At least 11 officers were injured as protesters threw stones and fireworks at police.
