Firefighters are responding to a situation in the Chudeřice suburb of Bílina (Teplice district; Ústí nad Labem region) following an explosion and resultant fire at a police ammunition depot on Tuesday, September 15. People within a 500 meter (1640 ft) radius of the building have been evacuated and nearby roads have been closed. Firefighters are struggling to control the fire due to continuing explosions. The cause of the initial explosion has not been confirmed.

Residual disruptions to overland transport and businesses nearby are expected in the coming hours.


Those in the vicinity of the incident are advised to monitor the situation, avoid the area, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities, including evacuation orders.
