At least 20 people have died after a military plane crashed on the outskirts of the eastern city of Kharkiv on Friday, September 25. Reports indicate that the plane was carrying 28 people and was on a training flight at the time. Among those killed include cadets from the Kharkiv Air Force University and crewmembers. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

Residual disruptions are expected around the crash site over the coming hours.


Those in Kharkiv are advised to keep abreast of the situation, avoid the area of the crash, and obey all instructions issued by the local authorities.
