The US Embassy in Haiti has reported that a protest is taking place outside the Ministry of Justice on Ave Charles Sumner in Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, September 30. Protesters are reportedly burning tires and throwing projectiles. Police have been deployed to the scene of the unrest. The motive for the protest has not been indicated.

Due to the demonstration, a heightened security presence is likely in the vicinity of the Ministry of Justice in the coming hours and localized disruptions to transport are possible.
