At least one person was killed and multiple others injured amid unrest in Kenol town (Murang'a county) on Sunday, October 4. Local sources report that a group of youths affiliated with the Kieleweke faction of the ruling Jubilee political party gathered in the central area of Kenol in the morning and began to riot in the streets. The deceased was not immediately identified. 

Disruptions to travel and business are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the demonstration, and a heightened security presence is likely around any protest site.
