A memorial service for former president Lee Teng-hui is scheduled to be held in Taipei on Wednesday, October 7. The commemorative service will begin at approximately 08:20 (local time) at Teng-hui's residence in the Shilin District from where a procession will be held to the Wuzhu Mountain Military Cemetery in New Taipei City before the burial at 09:20. The event is likely to be very well attended, including by senior government officials. The event is closed to the public.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the event.
