Event

Two suspected militants were killed in an operation by security forces in Kulgam district (Jammu and Kashmir territory) that began on Friday evening, October 9, and finished on Saturday morning, October 10. A cordon and search operation was launched in the Chingam area following information received regarding the presence of militants in the area. Militants reportedly fired on security forces during the operation, who retaliated. Weapons were also recovered during the operation.

Similar security operations are likely to occur across Jammu and Kashmir territory in the medium term.
