Domestic and international flight disruptions likely due to air traffic controllers' work stoppages on October 18 and 19; confirm flight status

Domestic and international flight disruptions are likely in Greece during industrial action by the Federation of Civil Aviation Authorities (OSYPA), the Air Traffic Controllers Association (EEEKE), and the Union of Electrical Engineers for Air Traffic Safety (ENIMAEK) on Sunday, October 18, and Monday, October 19. OSYPA workers will stop work between 15:30 and 18:30 (local time) on Sunday and between 12:00 and 15:30 on Monday. Additionally, EEKE will cease working between 13:30 and 18:30 on Sunday and 07:30 and 12:30 on Monday while ENIMAEK workers halt work completely on both days. Workers will stage work stoppages over a draft civil aviation law and the payment of salaries.

Disruptions to air travel to and from Greece are to be anticipated during the strike action.
