Police clashed with protesters who had gathered in Warsaw on Saturday, October 24, to denounce restrictions introduced due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Protesters gathered at Plac Defilad from 12:00 (local time) where they began to hold a march towards the headquarters of the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS). Over 120 people were also detained during the protest which concluded at Warszawa-Śródmieście station.
Further associated rallies regarding the issue could occur in the near term.
