Protests are scheduled to take place in Johannesburg on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29. The protests have been organized by the opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party to oppose the trial of its leader Julius Malema and EFF lawmaker Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, who are being prosecuted over the alleged assault of a police officer. The demonstrations will take place outside the Randburg Magistrates Court
