Police declared riots in downtown Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday, November 4, after large-scale unrest broke out amid the controversy of vote counting in the US Presidential election. Governor Kate Brown activated the National Guard following widespread violence with a dozen arrests being reported. Multiple weapons and incendiary devices were confiscated throughout the evening. Minor injuries were reported among the crowd during the unrest.  

Further demonstrations are to be expected across the country in the coming days. A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are possible in the vicinity of all demonstrations.
