The minister reportedly survived the bombing which occurred at around 20:00 (local time) between the KM4 and Tarabunka junctions, but it is currently unclear whether there were any civilian casualties from the incident.
Security and clean-up operations are likely in the vicinity of the incident in the near term, with an associated risk of localized disruptions.
