Heightened security measures have been implemented in Punjab province through Sunday, November 8, amid the annual Tablighi Ijtema festival. Festivities are scheduled to take place in southern Lahore and Raiwind and are expected to be very well attended. At least 50,000 participants are expected in Raiwind Markaz (Raiwind) alone over the coming days.

Additional security force personnel, road closures, and access restrictions should be anticipated in the vicinity of the events over the coming days.
