Emergency services are responding to a fuel tanker explosion which reportedly caused a large fire on the Kara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ojodu Berger (Ogun State) early Saturday morning, November 7. Multiple vehicles have reportedly been destroyed, although there has yet to be reports of casualties. The cause of the explosion has not been confirmed. Response operations and investigations into the incident are underway.

Residual disruptions to transport are expected in the vicinity of the incident over the near term.  


Those in the Ojodu Berger area near the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are advised to monitor the situation, avoid the vicinity of the incident in the near term, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
