Austrian police arrested 30 people in more than 60 raids across the country on Monday, November 9, during anti-terrorism operations. Reports indicate that the operations took place in four of Austria's nine provinces, including Styria, Carinthia, Vienna, and Lower Austria. A spokesperson stated that the operations targeted people suspected of belonging to or supporting the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Authorities have stated that there was no link to a fatal terror attack in Vienna a week ago which killed four people.
