Members of the Abuja Newspapers Distribution Association are protesting in the capital on Friday, November 20. The protests are taking place on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway and were sparked by the killing of a newspaper vendor by a security aide to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.

Traffic disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of the demonstrations and clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out.
