On Saturday, November 28, opposition demonstrations are to hold multiple rallies in Lome. According to media sources, opposition activists have called on supporters to demonstrate against the results of the February 2020 presidential election which resulted in the re-election of incumbent President Faura Gnassingbe for a fourth term. Protesters are set to gather in multiple locations throughout the city, including Boulevard de la Kara, Hotel Todman, Avenue de la Liberation, Commissariat Central, Marche de Be, Colombe de la Paix, Boulevard Houphouet Boigny, Hotel Sarakawa, and Hotel Sancta Maria. The exact details of timings are not yet known. Reports state that the protests will go ahead despite Togolese authorities prohibiting the events.
