Officials at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila announced that all terminals are on lockdown at approximately 03:35 (local time) on Friday, June 2, due to the ongoing security situation at the Resorts World Manila. Military officials said that area is under control and the resort is still on lockdown. Media sources have reported a number of injuries but there has been no official confirmation of casualties from the attack. Emergency services did confirm that there is a fire at the resort that may have been intentionally set. Details are still emerging. Avoid the area.

Context

Gunfire and explosions were reported at Resorts World Manila around 01:30. Witnesses said that at least one gunman opened fire on guests. The resort is popular among international tourists and features a number of hotels and bars, as well as a casino, shopping center, and cinema. MNL is located about 1.6 km (1 mi) from Resorts World Manila.
