The 40th Dakar Rally road race will be held from Saturday, January 6, to Saturday, January 20. The route will run from Lima, Peru, to Córdoba, Argentina:

  • January 6: From Lima (Peru) to Pisco (Peru)
  • January 7: From Pisco (Peru) to San Juan de Marcona (Peru)
  • January 9: From San Juan de Marcona (Peru) through Macona district back to San Juan de Marcona (Peru)
  • January 10: From San Juan de Marcona (Peru) to Arequipa (Peru)
  • January 11: From Arequipa (Peru) to La Paz (Bolivia)
  • January 13: From La Paz (Bolivia) to Uyuni (Bolivia)
  • January 14: From Uyuni (Bolivia) to Tupiza (Bolivia)
  • January 15: From Tupiza (Bolivia) to Salta (Argentina)
  • January 16: From Salta (Argentina) to Belén (Argentina)
  • January 17: From Belén (Argentina) through Fiambalá (Argentina) to Chilecito (Argentina)
  • January 18: From Fiambalá (Argentina) through Chilecito (Argentina) to San Juan (Argentina)
  • January 19: From San Juan (Argentina) to Córdoba (Argentina)
  • January 20: From Córdoba (Argentina) through Sierra de Córdoba back to Córdoba (Argentina)
