At least ten people were reportedly killed in an explosion at the Second Coming gas station in the Magodo Estate area of Lagos on Monday, January 15. Security and emergency officials are currently dealing with the accident, which was caused by a spark generated by a car, and subsequent ongoing fire. The incident is expected to cause severe traffic disruptions in the area until late Monday evening.


It is the second such explosion in less than a week; the first occurred in Delta state on January 11.


Individuals in Lagos are advised to avoid the area and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
