A Polish court overturned a decision made by Warsaw's mayor to ban a nationalist demonstration on Sunday, November 11, on the occasion of Poland's 100th independence anniversary. As such, the march, organized by Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawieck, will take place. Violence is possible, including clashes with security forces.

During a similar march held on November 11, 2017, in which around 60,000 people participated, far-right demonstrators used smoke bombs and displayed racist and anti-Semitic banners. The government has warned to take action against any such acts.

Other commemorative events are expected throughout the country. Heightened security measures and traffic disruptions are anticipated around all such events.

Individuals in Poland, particularly in Warsaw, on November 11 are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and gatherings as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
