On Monday, November 26, the National Transport Federation-New Option (Fenatrano) announced an early start to their planned national strike resulting in widespread transportation disruptions. The work stoppage was initially planned as part of a general strike beginning Tuesday, November 27. Public transportation disruptions and transit delays are expected for the remainder of Monday and in the coming days. General disruptions to services, including hospitals and schools, are anticipated beginning Tuesday. Public demonstrations and a heightened security presence cannot be ruled out.


Fenatrano is part of the National Coordinator for the Rights of the People and the Rebate of Fuels, which is organizing a general labor strike beginning Tuesday.
