At approximately 18:00 (local time) on Sunday, February 3, the French Air Force launched airstrikes against a rebel convoy between Tibesti and Ennedi. According to a military spokesperson, the airstrikes targeted a 40-vehicle convoy belonging to the Union des forces de la résistance (UFR) rebel group. Reports indicate the convoy had entered Chad from neighboring Libya. Further airstrikes, as well as clashes between Chadian security forces and militants, are possible in northern Chad in the near term.
