An indefinite strike launched by China Airlines pilots in Taipei on February 8 continues for the fourth consecutive day as of Monday, February 11. 26 flights have reportedly been canceled on Monday. Currently affected air routes include flights to and from Bangkok, Hong Kong, London Gatwick, Roma, and Vienna.
Pilots are demanding improved working conditions, including a reduction of the workload. Over 60 flights have been canceled since February 8. China Airlines is one of Taiwan's two major carriers (the second being EVA air).
Individuals flying to or from Taiwan with China Airlines are advised to monitor the situation, confirm flight reservations, and contact the airline for further information.
