Thousands of students are expected to participate in demonstrations throughout the UK on Friday, February 15, to protest climate change. The campaign is being organized by the UK Student Climate Network and the UK Youth Climate Coalition under the banner “Youth Strike 4 Climate.” Students in 40 cities across the country, including London, will reportedly walk out of classes for three hours. In London, the demonstration will begin at 11:00 (local time) at Parliament Square. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around all protest sites.
