Pilots working for Air Nostrum called off a series of 24-hour strikes planned through late April on Tuesday, April 16, following successful negotiations with the airline. According to Air Nostrum, the company is working to reschedule flights for Wednesday, April 17, that had been previously canceled due to a planned strike. Flights from Monday, April 22, to Wednesday, April 24, are also expected to operate as normal following the agreement. Residual flight disruptions are possible on April 17.
Air Nostrum had previously canceled 148 flights from April 15 to April 17, affecting approximately 10,000 passengers, after Sepla, the union representing the pilots, announced the strikes. The airline is a regional Spanish air carrier with hubs in Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid.
Individuals traveling with Air Nostrum are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate flight disruptions, including delays, cancelations, overbooked flights, and congestion, confirm their flight reservations, and make alternate travel arrangements if necessary.
