Normal airport operations are to be expected at Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Luton Airport (LTN) after organizers announced on Friday, April 25 that strikes by ground staff originally planned from Friday, April 26 to Friday, May 3, would be called off. A new pay offer is reportedly being discussed between Unite, the union representing them, and the airports company.

Related strikes remain possible in the coming days and weeks should talks between union leadership and management stall.

Individuals traveling through LHR or LTN in the coming days and weeks are advised to monitor the situation and, despite the canceled strikes, to anticipate increased congestion and delays at airports.
