Flight operations have resumed at Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) as of 17:49 (local time) on Thursday, May 30, after crews successfully cleared a disabled aircraft blocking the runway. Officials indicate the runway is fully operational and flights have been cleared to land at ALC.

Significant delays have been reported as of Thursday evening and residual flight disruptions are to be expected over the coming hours. 

Context

A small passenger plane suffered a landing gear failure upon landing at ALC at approximately 13:50 (local time) on May 30. The incident prompted officials to temporarily suspend all flight operations at the airport.
