Several Spanish LGBTQI+ groups are holding various Pride events in Madrid from Thursday, July 4, through Sunday, July 7, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The main parade will be held on Saturday, July 6, and will begin at 17:30 (local time) from Atocha and then proceed to Colón.
Other events are scheduled for Sunday, July 7, at Puerta de Alcalá and Plaza del Rey starting at 20:00. Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around all Pride events.
Individuals in Madrid are advised to remain vigilant, report suspicious objects and behavior to the police, follow instructions issued by local authorities, and avoid all gatherings as a precaution.
