Prospect, an air traffic controllers' union, announced plans to hold a strike at six airports in the Scottish Highlands from Sunday, July 21, to Tuesday, July 23. The strike will affect Inverness Airport (INV), Sumburgh Airport (LSI), Kirkwall Airport (KOI), Dundee Airport (DND), Stornoway Airport (SYY), and Benbecula Airport (BEB) for a period of 24-hours at each airport. Loganair announced the cancelation of 74 flights during this period as of Tuesday, July 9. Further strikes and cancelations have not been announced, though remain possible.
