Members of the Mexico City LGBTQI+ community are slated to protest the targeted killing of Armando Gonzalez on Saturday, July 13 in Mexico City. Protesters will meet at 14:00 (local time) at the Secretariat for Public Safety (SSC).
Associated transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the protest.
Armando Gonzalez was killed on Sunday, July 7, and was found in the Zona Rosa district. Witnesses stated he was beaten at a local bar.
Individuals in Mexico City are advised to avoid all protests as a precaution, monitor the situation, allow ample travel time, and obey instructions issued by the local authorities.
