Officials confirmed that four Turkish nationals, abducted along Gbugbu-Lafiagi Road located in Edu local government area's Gbale village (Kwara state) on Saturday, July 20, have been released on Friday, July 26. According to the national police spokesperson, police officers freed the victims without paying a ransom and arrested three suspected assailants.

Similar kidnappings are possible in Kwara state and elsewhere in Nigeria over the near term.
