Severe thunderstorms have forced the cancelations of more than 300 flights total at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) on Tuesday, August 20. Average departing-flight delays of over 80 minutes have been reported at ORD and over 25 minutes at MDW as of 16:45 (local time), according to flightradar24.com.

Lingering flight delays and flight cancelations are to be expected at ORD and MDW over the coming hours.
