The Metropolitan Police have reopened several roads in central London on the morning (local time) of Thursday, August 22, following a stabbing that wounded one person around 21:11 on Wednesday, August 21, near Trafalgar Square. The security operation has since concluded on Thursday morning. The Victoria Embankment and nearby roads have therefore been reopened to vehicular traffic.
A heightened security presence and residual transportation disruptions are possible in the affected area as police presence is cleared.
